News - US$10 per player: Hamster Kombat Airdrop almost worthless
The Airdrop of Hamster Kombat reached the exchanges has ended in a big disappointment. Earlier, there were allegations of fraud.
Hamster Kombat Airdrop has been live recently after 2 p.m. on several exchanges, including Binance. Most players qualified for about 1,000 HMSTR. The starting price was about 0.001 cents, representing a value of 10 US dollars per player.
Hamster Kombat is a clicking game on Telegram that launched in March 2024 and has become incredibly popular in recent months, thanks in part to the prediction of an airdrop. According to the developers, the game has as many as 300 million players, but only 42 percent of them qualified for the airdrop.
Before the launch, players were already expressing their dissatisfaction with hashtags such as #BoycottHamster and #HamsterIsScammer. One user criticized the fact that 15 percent of the tokens had gone to influencers who had promoted the token but had not participated in the click game.
The game concept revolves around tapping the hamster symbol in the Telegram app to "earn tokens." Similar concepts can be found at Yescoin and Notcoin. However, Hamstercoin's share price fell about 12 percent within the first half hour of launch.
Hamster Kombat thus joins a string of disappointing airdrops in recent months, indicating that the hype seems to be waning.
