News - 1inch partners with Klaytn's Kaikas wallet in South Korea
By
1inch Network recently announced a close partnership with Kaikas, Klaytn's digital wallet in South Korea. Kaikas is known as a custodian-free digital wallet launched in June 2019 by Kakao, a leading IT conglomerate. It is a popular choice for managing and securely storing various digital assets in South Korea.
The Klaytn Foundation is an active player in promoting blockchain adoption, from participating in the Bank of Korea's CBDC pilot to supporting innovative Web3 projects. As part of their ongoing efforts, they have announced that they are integrating the 1inch API into the Kaikas wallet, which will significantly improve usability.
Dr. Sam Seo, representative director of Klaytn Foundation, stressed the importance of this integration: "By integrating the leading DEX aggregation capabilities of the 1inch network into the Kaikas wallet, users will have a seamless method of switching between tokens on the Klaytn network. This will enable them to effortlessly take advantage of Klaytn's vibrant ecosystem." He added: "Improving the wallet's user experience is essential for broader adoption, and we are excited to partner with one of the best in the industry to further this goal."
Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch Network, added: "We are elated to enable swaps in the Kaikas wallet, further strengthening our partnership with Klaytn Foundation. This allows us to meet the growing demand for swaps from South Korean users. As more and more people recognize the tremendous potential of DeFi, we strive to provide elegant and user-friendly solutions."
With the integration of the 1inch Swap API, Kaikas wallet users can benefit from low-cost swap rates and efficient swap routes. This API uses Pathfinder, a discovery and routing algorithm that ensures optimized gas costs and execution of atomic swaps through multiple routes. This gives Kaikas users access to a powerful DeFi tool when choosing the "Swap" option in their wallet.
On Klaytn's public Level 1 blockchain platform, more than a billion transactions have now taken place, supporting more than 300 dApps.
