A teenage hacker stole nearly 120 BTC and other cryptocurrencies. The U.S. government seized his loot.

According to report the U.S. government forced a teenage crypto hacker to hand over about $3.1 million worth of Bitcoin and a sports car.

Along with two accomplices, Ahmad Hared stole phone numbers of crypto managers and investors and emptied their wallets, according to reports.

Last Friday, a federal judge issued a temporary seizure order, allowing 119.8 BTC to be seized - nearly $3.1 million at the time of writing.

Authorities also seized 93,420 Stellar (XLM) and a 2017 BMW i8 worth about $60,000.

Attacks on investors are commonplace in the crypto sector. In 2022 samples hackers about $3.8 billion.
