News - AI a possible solution to "Ethereum's biggest risk"
By
Artificial intelligence would be a solution can provide for the "greatest technical risk" of Ethereum. That is the opinion of Vitalik Buterin, founder of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
According to him, undiscovered bugs in the code pose a potentially serious problem for Ethereum. As Buterin explained in a tweet on Feb. 18, "AI-assisted code verification" is therefore an exciting use case - and a possible solution.
One application of AI that I am excited about is AI-assisted formal verification of code and bug finding.

Right now ethereum's biggest technical risk probably is bugs in code, and anything that could significantly change the game on that would be amazing.
A few weeks ago, Buterin highlighted the connection between the future technologies of AI and blockchain in a blog post. In it, he warned of the increasing centralization of AI. And he referred to blockchain-based incentive models as a possible solution to the expansion of decentralized AI.
The hype surrounding ChatGPT and co. has recently triggered a strong demand for AI projects and applications in the crypto space. For example, Deutsche Telekom recently announced a teaming up with with the blockchain AI project Fetch.ai and Bosch.
The prices of AI coins such as Bittensor (TAO), Akash (AKT) and Worldcoin (WLD) also continue to benefit from developments in the AI sector.
