Arbitrum One has integrated Chainlink's CCIP network. The protocol is designed to improve the interoperability of the Layer 2 solution.
Arbitrum One, one of the Layer 2 solutions for Ethereum, announced the integration of Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).
"Developers and applications on Arbitrum now have access to the CCIP network, which provides a secure, reliable and easy-to-use solution for developers," said A.J. Warner, chief strategy officer at Offchain Labs.
According to Arbitrum developers will now have "the ability to create their own cross-blockchain dApps using Arbitrary Messaging." In addition, the integration enables "simplified token transfers," as well as "a plug-and-play solution to improve asset compatibility on the Arbitrum network."
"Layer 2s like Arbitrum play an important role in alleviating transaction congestion and enable developers to contribute constructively to the Ethereum ecosystem," said Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs.
"CCIP now gives these users access to a highly secure and easy-to-use interoperability protocol built on Chainlink's proven infrastructure."
