News - Binance is now called #Benance - Meme goes viral
Binance is once again in the news. Lately, the largest exchange has been suffering blow after blow. the U.S. Department of Justice has fined Binance $4.3 billion. It also demanded the resignation of Changpeng Zhao and his full cooperation. These are not good times for the exchange.
Yet there are those who take pleasure in it. In fact, the news caused a number of memes. The king among memes: Benance. The meme became a trending hashtag and soon - you guessed it - its own memecoin.

The background: U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Allen corrected one of her colleagues during a press conference on the Binance debate. During the debate, she explained that people are mispronouncing Binance; it is, in fact: Benance. This, of course, immediately became a meme with accompanying hashtag. And now - thanks to deepfakes - Joe Biden and Gary Gensler are also informing the world of the correct pronunciation. It remains to be seen whether Binance will rebrand.
