News - Bitcoin dominance rises to 56 percent
The focus on the crypto market in recent times has been on altcoins, but with the breakthrough of the 100,000-dollar mark, Bitcoin is once again showing its strength.
Although Bitcoin has shown strong gains before, altcoins also posted hefty gains in recent days, leading to a so-called "Altcoin Season." But with Bitcoin reaching the historic milestone of $100,000, it is once again attracting attention.
Bitcoin dominance, or Bitcoin's share of total market capitalization, has recovered to 56 percent after a recent decline. The annual high of 61 percent was reached on Nov. 20. Currently, Bitcoin's market capitalization stands at just over $2 trillion, while the total market capitalization of the crypto market is $3.8 trillion.
The increasing demand for Bitcoin is also evidenced by the rise in global searches. According to Google Trends value increased from 36 to 100 points in just one day. In addition, the Crypto Fear and Greed Index the current upward trend. With a score of 84, optimism prevails in the crypto market, underscoring the general advance in the sector.
The market remains dominated by growth, with both Bitcoin and Ethereum continuing to excel.
