Bitcoin price back at $63,000

Bitcoin is having a strong start to the new trading week. In addition, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies are also performing well at the beginning of the week. In the past 24 hours, the BTC price has risen nearly 5% and now stands at $63,017. With this, Bitcoin has broken through the $63,000 mark. Ethereum is following a similar path with a daily gain of 5% and is currently trading at $3,349.

The altcoin market is also benefiting from the increases in Bitcoin and Ethereum. The total market capitalization rose 3.8% to $2.3 trillion. Within the top 100 most valuable cryptocurrencies, Pendle (PENDLE), Stacks (STX) and Immutable (IMX) posted gains of 10 to 13%.

Thanks to this strong start, Bitcoin's long difficult period seems to be over for now. Late last week, the Fear and Greed Index was still at "Extreme Fear," but market sentiment is now "Neutral" and stands at 48 points.

Several events affected the market in recent weeks: on the one hand, Bitcoin sales by the LKA and on the other hand, Mt.Gox's payouts to victims of the crypto exchange. On Friday night, the last BTC was transferred from the LKA's wallet, ending the sales.
