News - Cardano's Hoskinson calls for market unity
Charles Hoskinson wants to end the old conflicts with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and other cryptocurrencies. His goal? Working together to bring crypto to the mainstream.
On Platform X, the Cardano founder appealed for togetherness within the often divided crypto community. He acknowledged, "As many of you know, I have been sharp at times to other communities. I have apologized to BTC, XRP, Solana and others."
According to Hoskinson, influential figures in the crypto world have "said some terrible and incorrect things about Cardano." Still, he urges the Cardano community to welcome these individuals with open arms and put the past behind them.
One suggestion that I have for all of us in the Cardano community is to let the comments and opinions of the past go and embrace a full reset of all ecosystems. As many of you know, I've been a bit prickly towards other communities and have apologized to BTC, XRP, Solana, and…

Hoskinson sees 2025 as a crucial year: "We have a unique opportunity to bring crypto to the mainstream, grow our markets to a multi-billion dollar value and introduce crypto into every home and government. Petty tribalism should not stand in the way of this opportunity."
This call comes after discussions about Operation Choke Point 2.0, an initiative of the US government led by Biden. Its goal appears to be to make life difficult for crypto companies through aggressive measures such as closing bank accounts.
The topic came up again after Marc Andreessen, partner at venture capital firm a16z, told Joe Rogan's podcast that he knows more than 30 people whose bank accounts were terminated because of their involvement with crypto.
Documents released after the bankruptcy of the crypto bank Silvergate reveal that, according to Hoskinson, it may have been deliberately "murdered by U.S. authorities."
Hoskinson believes many underestimate the impact of the U.S. government. "It's worse than it looks and the problem is global. So many companies have been intimidated, fined, monitored and excluded," he says.
With his call, Hoskinson hopes to unite the crypto community and be stronger together against the challenges of the future.
