News - Dogwifhat NFT sold for US$4.3 million
On the NFT marketplace Foundation, the alleged owner of the dog "dogwifhat" sold a photo for 1,210 ETH for a total amount of USD 4.3 million. This is according to data from Etherscan.
According to an administrator of the NFT platform, the image was taken about six years ago. "On Nov. 17, 2018, Achi's (the dog's name) owners captured him on camera wearing a cute hat," reads a post on X (formerly Twitter).
I am always very happy when people find keys to their old wallets. 50 BTC blocks used to be minable relatively easily. Most people just didn’t care securing their wallets. Most 50 chunks are simply lost.

The NFT image is the logo of the emerging Solana Memecoin dogwifhat (WIF). The cryptocurrency is trading at $3.12 at the time of writing, with a total price increase of 45 percent over the past seven days.
In the course of the Solana rally, memecoin has now replaced PEPE and ranks 40th in terms of market capitalization at about USD 3.12 billion.
The Jito airdrop in January - the largest airdrop in crypto history - has already shown that apparently anything is possible in the Solana ecosystem right now.
