News - Elon Musk denies rumors of a trading hub at X
Twitter's transformation into X is in full swing. Reports of the integration of a trading platform are surfacing on the net. Musk dismisses them.
Elon Musk has denied claims that X (formerly Twitter) is planning a trading platform.
"As far as I know, this is not being worked on," he wrote when the messages piled up.
Previously reported news portal Semafor, citing sources and documents familiar with the matter, that X had recently sent requests to financial data providers. The company allegedly asked for proposals for financial content and real-time stock data.
While X builds, the crypto industry continues to hope for the inclusion of a cryptocurrency. An integration of a payment system into the X app does not seem unlikely.
Twitter Payment LCC, a subsidiary of the company, has already money transmitter licenses acquired in three U.S. states. Michigan, New Hampshire and Missouri thereby authorize them to offer money transfer services and payment instruments.
In April, the company announced a partnership with eToro. Users can buy cryptocurrencies through the platform.
