Ethereum under $4,000 - Bitcoin remains around 100,000

People taking profits is causing small declines in the crypto market. While Bitcoin maintains its significant limit, Ethereum falls just slightly below it.

The crypto market is slowing down a bit. After strong price increases in recent days, investors are now taking their profits. Compared to the previous day, the total value of all cryptocurrencies has fallen by four percent. This means that all cryptocurrencies together are now worth about US$3.8 trillion (€3,420 billion).

Bitcoin is losing slightly less. The price is down 2.5 percent to about 104,000 US-Dollars (€93,600). A few hours earlier, Bitcoin reached a new high of US$108,000 (€97,200).

Ethereum falls a little more. In the past 24 hours, the price of this second-largest cryptocurrency has fallen four percent. The price of Ether (Ethereum's currency) is now below US$4,000 (€3,600) and is at US$3,825 (€3,443).

XRP, now again the third largest cryptocurrency, falls slightly by 0.3 percent to US$2.5 (€2.25).

Solana remains stable. The price does not change much and remains around US$215 (€193.50).

Other popular cryptocurrencies are also falling. The price of BNB is down 1.2 percent to US$707 (€636.30) and Dogecoin is down about five percent to US$0.38 (€0.34).

Cardano remains just above 1 US dollar (€1.00) by two cents (€0.02) despite a four percent drop.
