The crypto-asset manager Grayscale launches according to a press release A new fund for "decentralized AI."
The "Grayscale Decentralized AI Fund" will offer investors access to projects that specialize in the interface of crypto and artificial intelligence. At launch, the fund includes Bittensor (TAO), Filecoin (FIL), Livepeer (LPT), Near Protocol (NEAR) and Render (RNDR). The largest shares are NEAR, FIL and RNDR, with 33, 31 and 24 percent, respectively. TAO has a 2.92 percent stake in the fund, while Livepeer takes 8.6 percent.
According to Grayscale, the fund includes three categories of decentralized AI projects. These include projects that provide decentralized AI services such as chatbots and image generation. There are also protocols that provide solutions for centralized AI platforms, such as verification of AI-generated texts.
Furthermore, the fund also invests with providers of AI critical infrastructure, such as data storage, processing and 3D rendering. The fund will update its composition quarterly.
The prices of the respective AI tokens reacted cautiously to the news so far. TAO and FIL are virtually unchanged on a daily basis, NEAR fell 3.4 percent. Only LPT and RNDR recorded slight gains of 4.5 percent and 3.8 percent, respectively.
