News - US inflation falls to 4.9 percent
U.S. inflation reached 4.9 percent in the month of April, up 0.4 percent from the previous month. Experts had previously expected an unchanged inflation rate of 5.0 percent.
On May the 10th the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest inflation figures for the month of April published. According to these figures, annual inflation in the United States is 4.9 percent. Experts had expected a rate of 5.0 percent. Last month, annualized inflation fell 1.0 percent, which was 0.2 percent more than market participants had expected.
On a monthly basis, however, inflation is up 0.4 percent. Market analysts had expected an increase of 0.4 percent, after 0.1 percentage point in the previous month.
The market experts counted on a stabilization at 5.0 percent. With the confirmation now announced, both the stock market and the crypto market can further stabilize and continue the dominant upward movement.
