News - Is the Ethereum Spot ETF coming in mid-July?
When will the Ethereum Spot ETF finally be fully approved? The crypto market has been dealing with this question since preliminary applications were approved in late May. It could now be no later than a week and a half from now. At least if you rely on statements from Bloomberg analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas.
UPDATE: We've got another amended S-1 from @BitwiseInvest for their #Ethereum ETF. Expect more from other issuers throughout the rest of the week. We're thinking these things could potentially list later next week or the week of the 15th at this point. pic.twitter.com/xqVlt9lSGy

The two market experts stated via X: "We believe that a listing could possibly take place at the end of next week or during the week of July 15."
Bloomberg colleague Balchunas adds, however, that there is still no concrete information on any of the ETFs. For example, it is not yet known how high the fees for the financial products might be. However, these will likely be in a similar range to those of Bitcoin ETFs.
In the past, we could often rely on Bloomberg analysts' statements. Still, Seyffart warns that the launch date for Ethereum ETFs could also be later. The SEC has no deadline for processing S1 applications and will carefully review the documents.
Overall, the preliminary approval of Ethereum ETFs came before many people. In the months leading up to it, the SEC had taken hardly any steps that could have indicated approval.
Some now believe ETH could outperform Bitcoin in the near term due to the adoption of ETFs. You can read more about this here.

Right now, however, it looks more like a dry spell for Ethereum and the rest of the crypto market. Heavy sell-offs are currently depressing investor sentiment. You can find all the information here: Cryptomarket crashes further
