Crypto enthusiasts are also speculating whether RLUSD will become available on TON, one of the most talked about blockchains in recent months. After about 2.5 years of dominance, Tron was knocked off its throne as the leader in stablecoins by Ethereum (ETH). A possible release of RLUSD could help Tron (TRX) regain its status as the #1 blockchain for stablecoins.
Despite Tether's announcement, Trons core crypto currency TRX hit a new record today. In 24 hours, the price rose more than 80%. According to CoinGecko, TRX is the best-performing crypto today.
Ripple is poised to launch its own stablecoin today, Dec. 4, 2024. According to multiple reports, NYDFS approval could be obtained within hours. In preparation for the launch, Ripple has minted about 10 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger blockchain. According to the XRPScan explorer, the transaction took place on block ("ledger") number 92,505,016.
The XRP community, known as the most passionate group within the crypto world, reacted enthusiastically to this message. Most members welcomed the integration plans and noted that both XRP and TRX have risen sharply in value in recent days.
