Kurant expands Bitcoin ATM offerings

Kurant GmbH is seeing growing demand for Bitcoin ATMs in German stores of the MediaMarktSaturn Group. The Austrian company announced this in a press release. According to the press release, Kurant has expanded its range of Bitcoin ATMs to 49 locations nationwide since spring of this year. More locations are planned, according to the press release.

There, customers can easily exchange cash for Bitcoin without having to use an online exchange. The offer is aimed at both crypto experts and beginners. Customers must register on the website of Kurants and download a wallet app on their smartphone. After entering the desired amount at the ATM, the wallet app generates an address via a QR code, which is scanned at the ATM.

In May 2022, Kurant launched the Bitcoin ATM pilot project in the electronics retail chain. According to the vending machine operator, the ATMs are very popular because of their convenience, especially among crypto newcomers.

Kurant also reached a milestone in March of this year. The company installed its 300th Bitcoin ATM in Mannheim. Kurant now has more than 140 ATMs in Germany alone.
