News - Marathon Digital opens mining company in Paraguay

The listed Bitcoin miner Marathon Digital is expanding its capacity. The company has announced the launch of a new Bitcoin mine in Paraguay announced.
Paraguay is increasingly establishing itself as a mining location. The company gets to open the mining farm at an Itaipú dam with a capacity of 27 megawatts.
With an annual generating capacity of 14 gigawatts, the Itaipú Dam is the second largest hydroelectric plant in the world. Electricity there is correspondingly cheap.
"Now that we have proven with our project in Abu Dhabi that we can successfully operate internationally, we are continuing our expansion into new markets with excess energy," said Fred Thiel, chairman and CEO of Marathon.
