Once again, a solo Bitcoin miner earns $180,000

An individual Bitcoin miner won the jackpot and collected $180,000. The odds on this were extremely small.

And once again a solo succeeds Bitcoin miner managed to win the top prize. On the early morning of Sept. 10, around 1:30 a.m., the lucky block found number 860,749. This is evident from data from Blockchain.com.

This block contained 5,959 transactions. As a reward, the miner received about 3.2 BTC (converted to about $180,000), including fees from the block.

The miner is part of the mining pool CK Pool. This pool pools the hashrate of small digital Bitcoin miners, but only pays out the reward to the one who successfully generated a hash.

The collective achieved two weeks ago already the headlines, when another solo-miner unexpectedly managed to find a block.
