News - Solana Blockchain starts using ChatGPT
The Solana blockchain is going to become more user-friendly with the help of the artificial intelligence chatbot, ChatGPT.
The Solana Foundation has a ChatGPT plugin released which integrates AI into the Layer 1 blockchain. The Foundation announced on May 23 that it had created an open-source reference implementation that allows users to communicate directly with the Solana network via ChatGPT.

The company revealed back in April what the planned functions of the plugin would be. Users will be able to use it to "check their wallet balance, transfer tokens and buy NFTs," the announcement reads. Also, initially, the ChatGPT plugin would focus on NFT’s, according to the company.
Solana integrates ChatGPT into an RPC node that pulls data from various sources on the blockchain and passes it to users who ask the questions, according to Tal Tchwella, Product Manager at Solana Labs, in an interview with the news portal Techcrunch.
Co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs, Anatoly Yakovenko, let it be known that AI would make the Solana blockchain more user-friendly and simpler.
"Any developer building consumer-oriented apps should think about how to interact with their app using an AI model, because this is a new paradigm for telling computers what to do," Yakovenko said.
