Solana ETFs removed from CBOE website

Applications for Solana ETFs from 21Shares and VanEck are no longer available on the CBOE website. What's behind the removal of SOL?

For unclear reasons, the two applications for Solana ETFs of 21Shares and VanEck no longer available on the website from the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).

Both asset managers served early June forms in to apply for Solana ETFs. Possibly the companies withdrew their applications or the SEC she rejected.

The X-user Summers pointed out in his message of yesterday indicated that the documents in question (SR-CboeBZX-2024-066 and SR-CboeBZX-2024-067) are no longer accessible via a direct link.

Recently, Brazil had approved the world's first Solana ETF, to which VanEck research director Matthew Sigel disappointed responded: "As an American, I am ashamed that I was beaten in the market by Brazil."

Scott Johnsson, chief advisor to Van Buren Capital, also responded in a X message and blamed SEC Chairman Gary Gensler for the removal of the Solana ETF applications.

However, these are only speculations. Why the Solana ETF applications are actually no longer available is not known. Therefore, a technical error cannot be ruled out.
