News - Solana users at lowest point in two years
Fast blockchain Solana is losing users. The number of active addresses has slipped to its lowest level in two years.
The declining market, summer lull and regulatory pressures are also taking their toll on the Solana ecosystem.
The number of daily active addresses on the high-speed blockchain has dropped to approximately 204,000 - the lowest level in two years.
User activity has been declining since May 2022. This is probably also due to the cryptocurrency SOL's classification as a security in the US. There, the token is no longer listed on platforms such as eToro and Robinhood.
The highest measured level was reached in April 2021 with 3.6 million active users.
The SOL price rose 3.4% last day to just under US$20.
