It took more than two years: the crypto market has now broken through the $2.5 trillion mark again. There is currently no end in sight for the rally.
While the Bitcoin price has broken through its all-time high, the market as a whole is also back to old form.
The total market capitalization broke through the $2.5 trillion mark at the beginning of the week. This value was last measured in December 2021.
The all-time high reached in November 2021 is around US$3 trillion.
The "Crypto Fear and Greed Index" is also at an all-time annual high with a current score of 82 points.
Total market capitalization rose three percent from the previous day. Memecoins Pepe and Bonk posted the highest gains at 65 percent and 53 percent, respectively.
Bitcoin rose by about four percent on the day, Ethereum by 2.5 percent.
With an increase of 24 percent, Dogecoin recorded the largest price gain of the ten largest cryptocurrencies based on market capitalization.
