Uniswap launches new Ethereum wallet app

Uniswap is now bringing its Ethereum wallet app to Android smartphones, after Apple users already had access since March.

Decentralized crypto exchange Uniswap has now launched its Ethereum wallet app for Android smartphones, following its launch for iOS devices some time ago.

To date, the app is in beta and can only be used by invited DeFi users. According to Uniswap, 35,000 people are already on the waiting list.

The early access phase should be used to iron out the last weaknesses. For this purpose, Uniswap will also publish the code of the wallet app, the company said.

The final wallet app will be released by the end of this year.

The smartphone wallet will allow users to exchange tokens and switch back and forth between different blockchain mainnets within seconds, according to a blog post from the team. In addition to Ethereum, these include layer 2 networks such as Optimism and Arbitrum.
