News - Will Ethereum soon break the $8,000 mark?
Standard Chartered Bank is optimistic about the future of Ethereum. In the long run, the price is even expected to rise to $30,000.
Two years, an ambitious goal: according to Standard Chartered Bank, Ethereum is on its way to breaking the $8,000 dollar barrier. And it will do so by 2026, the bank predicts in a new report.
"We believe Ethereum's established dominance in smart contract platforms, along with emerging applications in gaming and tokenization, has the potential to propel ETH to the $8,000 mark (a multiple of its current price of $1,600) by the end of 2026," Geoffrey Kendrick, head of foreign exchange and crypto research at Standard Chartered Bank, said in a report on Wednesday.
In the long run, the bank sees Ethereum becoming worth between $25,000-$30,000.
The forecast for Bitcoin: $120,000 in 2024.
The company launched its own strike service this year - but only for institutional investors.
