Will it soon be possible to pay for the Tesla Cybertruck with Dogecoin?

There are more than 50 Dogecoin entries in the Tesla Cybertruck website code. Crypto-influencer Marty Party first discovered mentions of memecoin in the source code of the Cybertruck website in October.

With the launch of the Cybertruck sale on Dec. 1, the Dogecoin community has confirmed more mentions, such as in the code at checkout. Many users on X (formerly Twitter) are now speculating whether Tesla will soon accept Dogecoin as payment for the vehicle. In 2021, the electric car manufacturer already accepted Bitcoin, but discontinued the payment option due to perceived environmental concerns.

At the time of writing, Dogecoin (DOGE) is trading at $0.09 with price growth of 5.6 percent over the past 24 hours. So far, neither Tesla nor Elon Musk have commented on the speculation.
