The Chang Hard Fork is almost ready for launch and this will be a major Cardano upgrade. Charles Hoskinson has now announced the date and ADA price increases. According to the Cardano team, the highly anticipated Chang Hard Fork will likely go live on the mainnet on August 27. The final decision on this will be made on Aug. 23.
The Chang Hard Fork marks another step toward full decentralization and community-driven governance. This is part of the so-called Voltaire-éra, the final part of the project roadmap. According to Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, the "rocket is on the launch pad." You can read what this upgrade means for the network here.
Investors seem to react positively to the announcement, as the Cardano (ADA) price currently stands at US$0.351, which is 2.3 percent higher than the previous day. Compared to last week, the ADA price is up 3.5 percent.
Anastasia Labs founder and CEO Philip DiSarro stressed on X that the Chang Hard Fork will give Cardano a major competitive advantage in the ongoing "scalability war."
Recently, Charles Hoskinson put out a million-dollar reward for a hacker who would succeed in cracking a specific paper wallet.
