According to the report, agents from several agencies with search warrants penetrated Worldcoin's offices, where they seized documents and iris scanners.

Investigators are now analyzing the data. Regulators are investigating a possible violation of the law. Kenya already banned activities around the controversial crypto project Worldcoin in early August.

According to the official statement, "relevant security, financial services and data protection authorities have launched investigations and surveys to determine the authenticity and legality of the said activities."

Worldcoin is criticized because of mass data collection using iris scans. German authorities are also investigating data protection risks.
