Using blockchain analytics, Tether and OKX helped the U.S. Department of Justice freeze funds.
Tether and OKX have worked with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to freeze approximately $225 million in USDT tokens. These are linked to an international human trafficking syndicate.

The collaborative research, supported by tools from Chainalysis, led to the largest freeze on USDT in crypto history to date, according to a statement.
By analyzing the flow of money in the blockchain, Tether and OKX were able to uncover the illegal activities.
CEO Paolo Ardoino highlights Tether's commitment to security and transparency in the crypto industry, including cooperation with the DOJ and OKX.
Just recently Israeli authorities freeze wallets that belonged to the terrorist organization Hamas. In 2021, 84 wallets containing more than seven million US dollars were seized.
